I shared the studio with my mum who encouraged me to work on art in the summers.

My first bout of genuine inspiration, 1993
Symbolism suddenly poured out…
I was staying at a friend’s place over the summer
(during my years in art school in France).

My first symbolic art work, 1994
First time participating in a group show - my mum organised it for me
while I was in France, she was very active with the local art society - without her encouragement I
doubt I would ever have started to participate.
